History
Robinia Courtyard was an adaptive reuse project begun in June of 2014. After nearly 15 months of financing acquisition and construction, Robinia Courtyard and its three shared entities, A-OK, Barolo and Julep opened for business on October 2, 2015. With the departure of the A-OK folks in August of 2016, Black Locust Cafe took the space over. On January 1, 2017, after a valiant effort, Barolo and Julep served their last items as part of Robinia Courtyard's New Year's Eve blowout. After five months of deliberation over the best way to retenant the back two restaurant spaces at Robinia, remaining Robinia ownership decided to keep the project internal and add MadisonTap, a tap room featuring a month-long tap takeover partnership with a Wisconsin brewery, and Jardin, a farm-to-table concept that brings cuisine from all over the world using seasonally-available local produce.
