Mitchell Bank Holding Corporation owns and operates the banking chain of Mitchell Bank. In 1907 a group of local businessmen founded Mitchell Street State Bank to serve the needs of the near Southside of Milwaukee. During the early part of the 20th century, Polish and German immigrants populated the area. Mitchell Street State Bank helped many of these people buy their first home or start a business. With a growing Hispanic population, the bank added additional locations and changed its name to Mitchell Bank. Since its beginning, the bank has been providing commercial loan solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses. Products include commercial lines of credit, commercial term loans, commercial mortgages and construction loans, commercial letters of credit, small business and other government sponsored loan programs, business credit cards and merchant credit card processing. Mitchell Bank Holding Corporation maintains a location in Milwaukee.
