More than 40 percent of the company s sales volume is generated by system sales. The other 60 percent comes from service, software, parts and networks. The company s combination of outstanding customer service and competitively priced computers allows it to compete alongside retailers such as Best Buy and CompUSA and mail-order manufacturers such as Dell and Gateway. Milwaukee PC was founded by former Marquette University instructor James Petr in 1988. The company has headquarters in Milwaukee and operates more than 20 sales and service offices throughout the state.
