Founded in 1921, the Milwaukee Christian Center serves more than 6,000 people through various programs for youths, senior citizens, juvenile justice and emergency food pantry. It offers academic enrichment and social development skills. The center provides a program for children that includes cooking classes, mentoring, recreational activities, cultural arts, environmental programming and field trips. The Milwaukee Christian Center employs over 90 full- and part-time staff, as well as nearly 40 volunteers. The center is governed by a board of directors and American Baptist Churches. It is supported through donations from individuals, churches, corporations and foundations. The Milwaukee Christian Center is a member of the United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee. It also has partnerships with the Agape Community Center, Neighborhood House, Milwaukee Youth & Family Development Alliance, American Baptist Churches and Hunger Task Force. The Milwaukee Christian Center is located in Milwaukee.
