In 1935, F.X. Dickert's son, P.J., joined the firm as a painter. He left for the Philippines to serve our country in WWII, and then returned to KD after the war. Henry Klein's son Joseph, (Joe), joined the firm in 1946 after obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madison and a masters degree from the Chrysler Institute of Engineering. The company incorporated in 1948 to become Klein-Dickert Co., Inc P.J. and Joe assumed management of Klein-Dickert in 1961 shortly after Henry Klein's death. Joe and P.J. expanded the company in 1968 and 1971 when they opened operations in Oshkosh and Milwaukee. Currently, Klein-Dickert Co., Inc is owned and operated by Francis Xavier (F.X.) and Susan Dickert, grandchildren of F.X. Dickert and great grandchildren of Leonard Klein. The company is still headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Klein-Dickert has paint contracting locations in Madison, Green Bay, and La Crosse. The auto glass division operates out of five locations: Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Green Bay, and Marinette. With our deep Mid-Western roots in Wisconsin, Klein-Dickert always strives to provide each customer the best possible service.
