HistoryFor the first 26 years of operation we located ourselves in a second floor studio just three doors down from our current location on Main Street in Stoughton. In 2011 we moved to our present street level storefront and look forward to the increased exposure this should bring. We've been hiding far too long!SpecialtiesThe Academy has a number of areas of expertise, including: - Custom jewelry creation using a wide range of techniques including mokume gane, damascus steel, kuem boo, and many others - Expert design consultancy to help customers create the perfect piece - Jewelry repair and restoration work - Expert restoration and repair of metal antiques, including watches and clocks - Appraisal of jewelry and other heirlooms - Engraving - Custom ironwork including architectural, art/sculpture, and furniture Bill and his team of master metal smiths, who total over 85 years of metal work, gemology and jewelry experience between them, are working constantly with gold, silver, platinum, titanium, niobium, iron and a range of other fine metals, using both traditional and modern metalsmithing techniques to explore new and creative applications for these materials.
