Located in a ranch-style house it shares with several other businesses along Coulee Rd just east of downtown, Star Embroidery is a locally-owned embroidery company offering services in custom computerized embroidery, screen printing, and ad promotional products. They first opened in Hudson in 1994 and do most of their work with businesses who want their logo printed on tee-shirts, sweatshirts, and other types of clothing. According to Fern, it's a valuable and affordable way for businesses to get the word out about their product: "This is a way of advertising your business, if you pay for a newspaper ad it's gone after a week. But when you put your name on a garment you advertise with that for years to come."
