Hoyt Park is a premier destination for Tosans wanting to picnic or play, run or bike, along the Menomonee River Parkway northwest of the Village. Extremely picturesque Hoyt Park is one of the most popular gathering places on the west side of the metro area. Coming soon in 2011 is the rejuvenation of Hoyt Pool, which was once the largest and most heavily attended swimming holes in Milwaukee County. The old pool failed, though, so Wauwatosa citizens raised $8 million to rebuild it when the county couldn't afford it. Opening this spring, Hoyt Pool will once again be Wauwatosa's swimming hole.
