Established in 1938, the Town of Menasha Fire Department works to preserve lives and property from fire, explosions, hazardous material incidents, medical emergencies, and natural and man-made disasters. It maintains a communication and dispatch center that coordinates responses to fire and medical calls for service. The department operates various fire stations that utilize a fleet of engines, ladders, pumpers, utility vans, squads, and command and rescue vehicles. The Town of Menasha Fire Department is comprised of several firefighters and administrative and paid-on-call personnel. It provides information regarding holiday, child and Halloween safety, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. The department also issues burning permits and conducts various educational programs.
