First National Bancorp of River Falls, with assets of nearly $300 million, is a single bank holding company for The First National Bank of River Falls, a retail financial institution with three offices in western Wisconsin. Established in 1904, the bank offers customers a variety of financial products and services, including traditional deposits, loans, business services, credit and ATM cards, IRAs and Internet banking. In 1914, FNB River Falls became one of the first banks to join the newly established Federal Reserve. In 1934, the bank also joined the new Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In 1972, the bank received a rare honor when then-President David Smith was elected to the Ninth District Federal Reserve Board of Directors.
