El Grito Taqueria is inspired by the history and culture of street food from around the world. Co-proprietors Joshua Barraza and Matthew Danky draw upon their deep roots in Los Angeles to bring the complex layered flavors of Mexico to the streets of Madison, Wisconsin. El Grito Taqueria is here to pay homage to the Mexican tacos that have been served for generations. A taco is a vehicle, and we use that vehicle to pull inspiration from different regions of Mexico as well as the taco culture in the United States. El Grito Taqueria is not only passionate about the food they serve, but about Madison's eclectic community - a place they are proud to call home.
