Douglas B. Horan, MD, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin for all ages. He performs in-office surgery for warts, benign skin growths, and skin cancer, including the Mohs' technique for difficult skin cancers. Dr. Horan earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed his residency at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He completed a fellowship in Mohs' Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Northwestern University in Chicago, and is the only fellowship-trained Mohs' surgeon in the Fox Valley. Dr. Horan was recognized by health care research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC), as a "Top Performer" in their 2019 awards, which is based on an overall doctor rating through patient surveys.
