Established in 1978, Dodge Correctional Institution is a detention center that offers a range of educational and vocational services for more than 8,000 inmates annually. It facilitates assessment and evaluation for adult male inmates who are sentenced by trial courts. The center processes admission, initial record development, assessment and classification administrative work and provides centralized transportation services. It works to provide training, work experience and coping skills development services that enable and encourage constructive inmate participation, as well as prepares individual inmates for re-entry in the community. Additionally, Dodge Correctional Institution is spread over an area of over 55 acres. The center is overseen by the Division of Adult Institutions of the Wisconsin Department of Correction in Wisconsin.
