Park, Recreation and Forestry Department is one of the departments administered by the city of De Pere in Wisconsin. It operates and maintains more than 280-acres of conservation areas, parks, recreational and boat launch facilities, community center, ice skating arenas and playgrounds. Its community center organizes various activities, such as youth programs and workshops, dance and music lessons, yoga and Pilate sessions, aerobics and fitness programs, pingpong, pool, darts and video games. The department also organizes sports activities and leagues that include baseball, softball, flag football, soccer and basketball. It also undertakes wellness programs, community-based projects and organizes special support groups for patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease. The department s forestry division offers various services, including layout planning and planting, soil testing, maintenance and pruning.
