Established in 1924, Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing offers various programs and services to assist individuals with hearing limpairements. It offers various services, including aural rehabilitation assessment, speech reading and communication strategies, speech therapy evaluation and treatment, community rehabilitation services, cochlear implant training, and various support groups. It also offers the Kellogg Child and Family Program to build children s communication skills, enhance their families abilities to communicate with them, and provide complete information about communication options so that parents can make informed decisions. The center additionally provides hearing and hearing aid evaluations and fittings, orientation, training and adjustment, post hearing aid fitting rehabilitation sessions, telephonic hearing aid training, assistive listening device assessments and specialized fittings, and educational and workplace accessibility assessments and consultation. Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is located in West Allis, Wis.
