C.G. Bretting Manufacturing established itself building equipment for the booming timber and mining industries more than a century ago. The company designs and manufactures paper-converting equipment. It equipment includes napkin folders, towel folders and interfolders as well as rewinders, machine sections and specialty machinery. The 280,000 square foot plant houses office, manufacturing and assembly divisions. The company uses 8 full-time CNC programmers, AutoCAD 2004, GibbsCam Software, SolidWorks 2003 and Dlog Jobpack Software. Its 30 overhead cranes carry five- to 30-ton capacities and the lift trucks carry one- to seven-ton capacities. Christopher George Bretting founded the company in 1890 when he purchased Parish Iron Works to produce sawmill equipment. C.G. Bretting Manufacturing is based in Ashland, Wis.
