Founded in 1940, John H. Batten Airport is located on more than 450-acres of land and provides services to corporate, business and private aircraft all year-round. The airport was designated as Federal Aviation Administration reliever airport for Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in 1982 and is owned by the Racine Commercial Airport Corporation. Its general aviation terminal has pilot and passenger lounges, flight planning facility with computerized weather data and a conference room with audio and video services. The airport is one of the largest privately owned, public-use, reliever airport in the United States and has a main and crosswind runway. Located in Racine, Wis., Batten Airport has Jeta fuel and 100-low-lead Aviation Gasoline and offers services, such as deicing, catering, car rental, movies and courtesy cars.
