Theatre West Virginia, established in 1955, was formerly known as West Virginia Historical Drama Association. The theater was founded by residents of the Raleigh County region to showcase West Virginia's culture to a wide range of audience. Theatre West Virginia has the Cliffside Amphitheatre at Grandview, which provides a variety of outdoor drama performances on the stage at the Cliffside Amphitheatre at Grandview. The theater also offers "Honey in the Rock," that is United States one of the oldest civil war drama. Honey in the Rock presents the story of West Virginia's birth during the civil war. It also stages "Hatfields & McCoys," which presents the feud between the Hatfields of West Virginia and the McCoys of Kentucky. Theatre West Virginia is located in Beckley, W.Va.
