Pleasant Valley Hospital was established in 1959 as a 40-bed private, nonprofit community hospital. It has grown to become a 201-bed, non-profit facility. The hospital provides a variety of services. With the establishment of such facilities as the 100-bed Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Valley Home Medical Equipment, Pleasant Valley Home Health and Hospice Services, Pleasant Valley Physician Practice Services, Pleasant Valley Emergency Care Center and the Wellness and Rehab Center at Pleasant Valley, it is extending care beyond the doors of the hospital. Pleasant Valley Hospital provides alternative care options, emergency treatment of major and minor injuries and illness and preventive care and fitness programs. Located in Point Pleasant, W. Va., Pleasant Valley Hospital employs nearly 650 people.
