Derrick Eddy, M.D., board-certified physician in both sports medicine and pediatrics, treats patients suffering not only from sports injuries, but from all varieties of joint and muscle pain. Dr. Eddy is specially trained to help his patients maximize their function and minimize disability and time away from home, work or school. He also provides the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which can improve chronic ailments such as knee tendonitis, rotator cuff tears, shin splints and other similar types of injuries. After graduating from West Virginia University Medical School, Dr. Eddy completed a three-year residency in pediatrics at WVU. He also completed a two-year fellowship in sports medicine at Akron Children's Hospital. During his training at Akron, Dr. Eddy was team physician for the University of Akron and Walsh University.
