Fayette County Schools offer educational and extracurricular programs to students from grades kindergarten through 12. Various elementary schools operated under the school district include Ansted, Danese, Divide, Fayetteville, Gatewood, Gauley Bridge, Meadow Bridge, Mount Hope, Oak Hill, and Valley elementary School. Its middle and high school includes Ansted, Collins, Fayetteville and Nuttall Middle School, and Meadow Bridge, Midland Trail, Mount Hope, oak Hill, and Valley High School. Curriculum offered by the school district includes English, math, social studies, science, technology, art, music, and physical education. It also offers a variety of sports programs to the students, including basketball, football, softball, and cheerleading. Fayette County Schools is headquartered in Fayetteville, W.Va.
