The Yakima Rotary Food Bank is a non-profit organization founded in 1971 and dedicated to providing ample nutrition to the Yakima community. As a primarily volunteer-run agency, they strive to offer the highest quality and quantity of food to those in need without requiring unnecessary documentation.
Operating as a member agency of Northwest Harvest and a partner agency of Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest, the food bank relies on donations, state, and federal anti-hunger assistance programs to serve over 600 households per week. With the help of about 50 volunteers each month, they distributed 817 tons of nutritious food in 2022 to support over 128,500 individuals in the community.
