Division of Children and Family Services is a part of the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. Division of Children and Family Services maintains more than 40 offices throughout Washington. It provides adoption and foster parenting services for children and families. The division also provides community-based shelters, emergency counseling and legal advocacy for the victims of domestic violence. In addition, the Division of Children and Family Services provides foster care, residential services, and transitional and independent living programs for dependent and adolescent youths. It also offers child protective services, including foster care, dependency guardianship, termination of parental rights and adoption proceedings to Indian children. Division of Children and Family Services maintains a location in Yakima, Wash.
