Whatcom County Maintenance & Operations Roadway Maintenance is a public service division that works under the Department of Public Works of the city of Bellingham, Wash. It maintains the county road system by preventing, reducing and restoring deterioration of the roadway infrastructure through road surface and roadway structure management. The agency offers a variety of services, such as depth patching, chip seal, asphalt prelevel, crack sealing, snow and ice removal, garbage pick-up, dust control, blading gravel roads, cleaning and sweeping roadways, shoulder work and various pavement maintenance techniques. Whatcom County Maintenance & Operations Roadway Maintenance plans and coordinates with the Engineering Division to assure nonduplication of surface treatments with rebuild projects.
