, the Kitsap County Parks Department took over the management of this Golf Course in 2009 and in 2010 made significant renovations in the driving range and golf course including taking out several trees to open up the greens as well as improving the turf conditions. Further renovations continue in the golf shop. Customers have said the renovations have made the course more fun to play on and opened up the fairways which had narrow lanes due to having too many trees. During the renovation over 25 trees were removed from the fairways.
