The Vancouver Community Library houses more than 260,000 books for people of all ages. It provides large print books, as well as books on tape and nonfiction videos. The library also offers a collection of maps, pamphlets, phone directories, and local and national newspapers and magazines. It has more than 10 Internet and word processing workstations for research and typing activities. The Vancouver Community Library also houses the Nonprofit Resource Center, which provides printed materials and computers with access to online databases. The library is a part of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District, an inter-county rural library district that serves Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties in Washington, as well as the city of Woodland and the Yale Valley Library District.
