The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is charged to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. It works towards this goal by protecting endangered species, enforcing federal wildlife laws, restoring fisheries, conserving habitats and educating the general public.
