The Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet has a syllabus derived from the Russian Vaganova and Italian Cecchetti ballet schools. The academy has a 11,000-square foot facility with four sound proof studios, a parent viewing area, state-of-the-art sprung dance floors, optically correct mirrors, color-corrected lighting for natural skin tones and cathedral ceilings with skylights. The school also provides instruction in jazz, musical theatre, hip-hop and tap dancing and adult dancing classes. Its pre-ballet program is designed to provide children between three and five years of age with a foundation in dance and movement, the primary program is for children from six to seven years of age and students then graduate into classes one through eight. The school year is divided into two semesters with 18 weeks of dance instruction in each. The Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet is in Richland, Wash.
