History
The gallery was founded by watercolorist Nancy Taylor Stonington, who owned it for many years before retiring in the early 2000s. The gallery has occupied three different locations in Seattle, and is now at the corner of Jackson and Occidental in historic, vibrant Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle. We are a proud participant in the monthly First Thursday Artwalk.
Specialties
Stonington Gallery exhibits an exciting collection of contemporary masterworks from the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Serving Seattle since 1979, the gallery is respected for the depth and quality of its collection, exceptional service, and full service frame shop. Along with traditional works such as totem poles, masks, bentwood chests, paddles and drums, we throw a special spotlight onto fine studio glass, and jewelry.
