History
I completed my Family Practice Residency in 1985. My first practice was as the only doctor in a small town in central Maine. I moved to Seattle near the end of 1987 and worked at Providence Downtown, a multi-specialty, hospital-owned clinic. I went into private practice in 1991 in order to get more professional freedom to learn and practice a wider range of medicine. I also started and was the medical director for Sound Clinic, a volunteer-run clinic in downtown Seattle focused on providing alternative health to the medically indigent. I started studying Craniosacral therapy in depth in 1991 and started teaching it by 2001. I have been located in Issaquah since 2007. Over the course of my career, I have experienced how medicine gets delivered over a wide range of demographics: rural, affluent big-city, inner city, suburban; and I've learned to offer a wide range of services from conventional medicine to natural medicine to energy/body medicine in a way that really works.
Specialties
I am residency trained in Family Practice and now specialize in helping you find and treat the root causes of whatever ails you. I do not specialize in any particular disease or organ system but rather in a way of listening to you and problem-solving that can be applied to any problem and is very effective. Over my 30+ years of practice, I have studied not only conventional medicine but also many of the world's other major healing traditions and am arguably the most experienced practitioner of Craniosacral therapy in the Northwest. I have found a way to seamlessly integrate the best of what I have learned into a form of medicine that can see and treat you as a whole human being. I call it
