South Tacoma Antiques & Collectibles claims to be the largest antique mall in the Tacoma area, with 55,000 square feet of display space and more than 150 dealers. The lower floor is a rabbit's warren of dealer stalls, some no more than a few feet across, crammed with everything from kerosene lamps to records. The upper floor is reserved for large furniture, such as bedsteads, chests and armoires, some of them in matched sets. The offerings vary widely, depending on the interests of the individual dealers. There's a lot of crystal and crockery, some interesting political buttons and ephemera, and a lot of “keen junk” like old saws and brass oil cans. The mall does appraisals and some dealers buy estates.
