History
Sheep's Clothing is the longest consistently and currently open locally owned yarn shop in SE WA. Opened by JimaLee P. a phenomenal knitter, in tiny suite on the corner of Wright & Van Giesen. Tish discovered the shop and met JimaLee here. After the shop moved to Clearwater Ave. across from Winco, Judie started teaching classes, and has been ever since. The shop was sold & moved to Gage Blvd; 9 months later, John & Marcia M. bought it. Knowing Johnabeth S. was a knitter, worked in a yarn+ shop, that closed several years before, she was asked to join the staff. Tish was offered a position after coming in, facing yarn as she perused through the disheveled inventory left when they started, talked about shop's history, what she knew about the industry. In 2015 she bought Sheep's, and moved it back to Clearwater Ave. Both Judie & Johnabeth are still with her and the shop. Launching the web store this year, has added a new facet to Sheep's Clothing and their ever expanding clientele.
