The Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC) is a collective of parents, educators, community leaders, allies, and community organizations dedicated to advocating for educational justice for all students in Southeast Seattle. They offer programs such as the Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED) Cohorts, Advocacy and Policy Cohorts, and Project Youth Participatory Grantmaking, among others, to address the educational needs of the community.
SESEC believes that a just and equitable education system can only be achieved through a collective voice, and they actively work towards improving education in Southeast Seattle by engaging the community and fostering partnerships. Their mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student has access to quality education, and they invite individuals to join them in their efforts to bring about positive change.
