History
Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center, as it is known today, began as an allergy specialty clinic in 1964 under the direction of C. Warren Bierman, MD, and William E. Pierson, MD. The practice has grown steadily since that time, undergoing several physical changes as well as the addition of partners, staff, and a name change. Originally the focus for care was pediatric and adolescent patients; however, the focus was expanded to include patients of all ages in 1984. To manage physical growth of the practice, offices were opened in Mount Vernon in 1991, Richland in 1995, Everett and Yakima in 1997, and Redmond in 2000. There are now full time offices in Renton and Issaquah.
