HistorySodo Pianos is a company formed by Paul Burleigh in 2014. It's goal is to work together with a select group of technicians to provide great all around service. Paul has been a piano technician since 2001. In 2002 he was hired at Steinway and Sons in NYC where he worked for nearly 8 years. In 2010 he moved to Seattle and was doing business under his name until 2014 when he changed the name to Sodo Pianos which reflects the area of Seattle the restoration center is located.SpecialtiesSodo Pianos is a collaboration of a select group of piano service providers from the Seattle and Eastside areas. We are Steinway specialists, but are also experienced in all other types of pianos. Our experience has ranged from Winter and Lester Betsy Ross spinet pianos to Yamaha, Kawai, and Boston pianos to Schimmel and Bosendorfer and many, many more! We have extensive experience in providing concert service, in-home service, and institutional service including tuning and concert tuning by ear, repairs, regulation, voicing, action rebuilding, pin block replacement, bridge re-capping, restringing, damper and back action replacement, soundboard repairs, soundboard and plate refinishing, etc. Contracts and service packages are available and can be customized. Payment plans available. We also sell, rent, consign, and store pianos.
