History
The inspiration for the Jorstad Creek Studio came from many trips to Hood Canal on highway 101 where you will find a charming little community overlooking the water. This is the community of Jorstad (or Jorsted!) Creek, a place that inspired the dream of creating and sharing beautiful hand dyed yarn and fiber. Five years later and many skeins dyed, the Studio moved into our little warehouse behind a local pub in downtown Olympia to have a public space for the dye process. We opened to the public in July of 2015. The Studio now offers a full range of yarn weights and ideas for projects. We also offer a variety of skill-building classes including summer dye classes for the curious.
