Northwest Justice Project
You can help secure equal justice in Washington by supporting the work of the Northwest Justice Project. Welcome to the Northwest Justice Project (NJP), Washington's publicly funded legal aid program. NJP is a not-for-profit statewide law firm that provides free civil legal assistance and representation to low-income people and communities throughout Washington. Each year NJP handles approximately 18, 000 cases benefiting more than 40, 000 people in need of critical legal assistance in cases affecting basic human needs such as family safety and security, housing preservation, protection of income, access to health care, education and other basic needs. Consistent with NJP's commitment to combat injustice by improving access to our civil justice system, all NJP facilities are accessible, and NJP provides language and sign interpreters for persons needing assistance to access our services. NJP is also committed to a policy of equal opportunity and fosters a mutually respectful environment free of barriers and discriminatory practices in all its activities and is committed to non-discrimination in employment. As such, NJP strives to maintain an organization whose staff, Board and clients are diverse in background, experience, race, color, national origin, gender, age, religious reference, marital status, sexual orientation, sensory, mental or physical abilities, Vietnam era or other veteran status. These and other qualities strengthens the program while reinforcing its commitment to basic fairness. WARNING! Please do not send requests for legal assistance via email.
