History
The Federal Way Symphony launched as a non-profit regional symphony in 1983, performing for its first 30 years in local event spaces. From its inception, the Symphony has used top quality professional musicians under the continuous guidance our our maestro, Brian Davenport. Since its early days the symphony has grown in size, scope, and esteem. In 2017 Federal Way opened its amazing new Performing Arts and Events Center, of which we are an anchor tenant. This new space is beautiful in design and musicality, and has allowed the symphony to grow its audience and perfect our sound. The symphony is dedicated to the Federal Way community, as evidenced by the Masters and Mentors program which provides free musical education to under-privileged students who show talent in classical music. To help fund this program, the symphony hosts the annual Rhythm and Brews Festival in Town Square Park. All of our programming is only possible with the support of our loyal patrons and donors.
