Evergreen Public School District, established in 1945, educates more than 25,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12 and employs nearly 3,000 people. The school district is governed by a five-member board of directors elected by district s voters. It comprises various schools that include Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary, Ellsworth Elementary, Frontier Middle, Shahala Middle, Evergreen High and Mountain View High schools. The district also governs an early childhood special education program at the Evergreen Internet Academy, an online study program, Legacy high School, an alternative learning center for high school and the Home Choice Academy for home schooled students. It is also the host district for the Clark County Skills Center, a cooperative educational venture between several southwest Washington school districts.
