Emmanuel Episcopal Church is located near the Mercer Island Library on a rise a few blocks above Island Crest Way. The church is led by a rector, the Rev. Hunt Priest, and focuses on Christian ministries that reflect community-wide values: children, youth, stewardship and service. The parish hall hosts a number of community groups and serves as a meeting place for local scouting organizations.
Emmanuel is Mercer Island's first church, which began as a mission here in 1909, and eventually settled into its present location in 1959.
