Dixie's BBQ was founded in 1994 by Gene Porter and named after his wife. Since then, Porter and his family have served barbeque to thousands of Washington's hungriest (and most famous) citizens, including legendary Seattle Supersonics Hall-of-Fame player and coach, Lenny Wilkens. The menu consists of barbeque beef and pork sandwiches and barbecue rib slabs to go with sides like beans and rice, homemade potato salad and cornbread (all of which are also sold individually). Dixie's serves family meals around dinner time, with the entree and all three large sides included in each meal. As for condiments, there's the "The Man" sauce, a legendary hot sauce created by Porter himself.
