The Division of Developmental Disabilities is managed by the Department of Social and Health Services, which is governed by Washington State. The division assists individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to obtain services based on individual preferences, capabilities and needs. It administers the DDD Community Protection Program. The Division of Developmental Disabilities also provides residential, early intervention and alternative living services. The division offers training programs for individuals with paid jobs in a variety of settings and work sites. In addition, it provides advocacy and educational programs. The division offers in-home private duty nursing services for children. The Division of Developmental Disabilities provides transportation, counseling, behavior management and respite care services.
