Dr. Steve R. Feller opened his private practice of podiatric medicine and surgery in Lakewood, Washington in 1985. He has built his practice into one of the most successful in the Puget Sound area. Dr. Feller obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Zoology from Ohio University. He then obtained his doctorate in podiatric medicine, summa cum laude, from the William M. Scholl, M.D., College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. The college is part of the Chicago Medical School. He then completed an internship at the VA Medical Center, American Lake, Washington. He also completed a residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Northwest Podiatric Residency now located at Providence Hospital in Seattle. Dr. Feller has been active in the academic arena having acted as Director of Podiatric Medical Education at Puget Sound Hospital, where he developed a podiatric surgery residency training program. That program has now moved to MultiCare in Tacoma, Washington. Treatment for all foot and ankle conditions and many involving the leg up to the knee, is available at the clinic of Dr. Feller. Dr. Feller's practice enjoys referrals from both present patients and other physicians in the area. Patients requiring surgery are able to go to St. Joseph Hospital, Allenmore Hospital and MultiCare hospitals. At all of these facilities, Dr. Feller uses only the state of the art techniques, including arthroscopy and laser procedures. Dr. Feller has also developed an expertise in evaluating difficult cases or cases in which previous surgery has been done with poor results. He will always discuss his findings and carefully offer what options are available. A realistic expectation of results is always given.
