History
Craftopia has been a dream several years in the making. It was born from of lack of art/craft classes particularly for adults and the high expense of trying a new art form. People need a place where they can practice and experiment to find their creative passion without breaking the bank. So in 2019 the idea of Craftopia, a safe place to learn, explore, relax and create, was born. Then 2020 hit and plans were derailed. While the dream of Craftopia never wavered, opening a hands-on shop in a pandemic was fruitless. So we waited. In 2021 we were fortunate to reconnect with a like-minded artist who also happened to own a dance studio. She generously offered her space so we could get a start and see if, indeed, there was a need in the community. So in June 2021 Craftopia moved from dream to reality, holding its first classes at Payette's School of Dance. By the beginning of 2022 we were ready to go big or go home and April 1, 2022 we opened the doors to our new studio on 10th and Pacific.
