History
Cougar Crest Estate Winery was established in 2001 by Debbie and Dave Hansen. In the late 70s, Dave graduated from WSU Veterinary School and Debbie graduated from WSU Pharmacy school. They bought 120 acres of apple orchard in the Walla Walla Valley when they married in 1979 and then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for Debbie's pharmacy residency. In 1996 they returned to Walla Walla with their daughter and son and planted wine grape vineyards in place of the apple orchards. It was not long until Debbie started making homemade wine, and she was good at it! The first vintage of commercial wine was crafted in 2001, and Cougar Crest Estate Winery has been winning countless awards and accolades since then. With four locations across the Pacific Northwest in Woodinville, Walla Walla, Spokane, and Dundee Oregon as well as a comprehensive online shop, it's always easy to enjoy an award-winning Cougar Crest wine.
