Many people who are released from jail or prison are ordered to visit the Department of Correction office in Lakewood to receive their felony supervision, also known as probation or parole.
Community Corrections Officers supervise between 30-50 released inmates. They ensure offenders are meeting their probation or parole conditions set by the court. There are a number of court-ordered conditions the offenders must meet like certified treatment programs, proper intervention and more. The CCOs help the offenders stay in line until full release and reintegration into society.
