Cooper Elementary School is named in honor of James Fennimore Cooper, an American novelist. The school has a library, gymnasium, more than 26 classrooms, and multipurpose, art and music rooms. It enrolls approximately 500 students and has a staff of over 70 employees. Cooper Elementary School s Title 1 program helps students to achieve success in literacy and math by providing staff development and instructional modeling. Its parent-teacher organization organizes various fundraising events. The school offers classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education to students in kindergarten through grade six. Located in Spokane, Wash.
