The Lutheran Church of Christ the King is on a residential street in the Eastgate neighborhood. The church has two Sunday services. The 9am service has traditional worship. The 11:30am service is less formal.
Christ the King hosts many activities for children and teenagers. The church raises funds for an annual mission trip, which includes a service project, and the church hosts a Vacation Bible School for young children during the summer. Christ the King has been host to Boy Scout Troop 438 since the 1950's.
The church also hosts adult study, fellowship and discussion groups on a variety of topics, including a quilting group that puts together health and hygiene kits for the needy, Bible study groups and a men's fellowship breakfast group. The church also has Sunday School and Confirmation classes for people of all ages.
