CHOMP is an annual event held at Willowmoor Farm in Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA, that celebrates the best of fresh, delicious, local, and sustainable food in King County. It supports King County Executive Dow Constantine's Local Food Initiative by showcasing local farms, chefs, and organizations dedicated to healthy and affordable food, farmer support, sustainability, and social justice.
Each year, CHOMP partners with a local organization to improve access to healthy, locally grown food in King County. In 2023, the beneficiary was Plant Based Food Share (PBFS), a community-focused food systems organization that provides plant-based food boxes to underserved urban and rural communities, including low-income families, veterans, immigrants, and those facing food insecurity. PBFS not only offers essential produce and pantry items but also cooked meals by chefs of color, tools for growing food in limited spaces, and herbs for community health and wellness support.
