HistoryThe Early Learning & Development Center is a private, not-for-profit preschool and child care center, providing high quality care and education for young children in a warm and nurturing environment. We are not affiliated with any religious philosophies or organizations. Our mission at ELDC is to serve children and families by providing an inclusive, high quality early childhood education program; one that supports the social, emotional, and developmental growth of each individual child. Our goal is to be a leader in High quality child care in the greater Seattle area We have three Centers in the Seattle area located in the Broadview, Greenwood, and Lynnwood neighborhoods.SpecialtiesChildren between 12 months and 5 years are eligible to attend the Center. Our purpose is to: Share with families the responsibility for promoting sound learning and development in a period when growth is rapid and significant. Encourage each child's self-esteem, curiosity, spontaneous energy, and inventiveness from which a lifestyle positive of learning habits can develop. Provide a developmentally appropriate program which will meet the child's emotional, intellectual, and health needs, as well as providing for their physical care. Recognize the individuality of each child and to foster the child's growth to their full potential, understanding that they are also part of the larger community.
